Create online learning folder

Manager users in the Authors role can create an Online Learning Documents accessed via the My Training folder in Viewer. Note that the online learning folder in the Folder view could be named differently if your administrator assigned a different name to the folder. folder to manage all training courses within Panviva.

Users should not have read permissions to this folder as all courses are accessed through their My training folder.

  1. When the folder tree is displayed create a folder in which you will store your Online Learning documents.

    Note: You can create subfolders within this to further organize your online learning documents. Be sure to follow these two tasks for subfolders to ensure users cannot accidentally access learning documents incorrectly.

  2. Select the folder.

  3. Select Details & Actions > Properties.

  4. Select Hide in search > On.

  5. Click Save.

    This hides the folder and its contents from being found in a search in the Viewer Viewers are users with Read-only access to documents. They can access documents and submit feedback to editors.

    Note: Users MUST take the online learning course from the 'My training' folder and not by accessing the training document directly. Thus, setting this option will ensure the users don't access the document incorrectly.

  6. Continue to Set folder permissions.

Set folder permissions

  1. When the folder tree is displayed select the online learning folder.

  2. Select Details & Actions > Permissions.

  3. The Permissions window displays.

  4. Complete the Roles in readers permission field:

    Select any roles except the appropriate authoring team.

    Note: Users MUST take the online learning course from the 'My training' folder and not by accessing the training document directly. Thus, setting this option will ensure the users don't access the document incorrectly.

  5. Click Remove role(s) from readers.

    The anybody role displays as Removed.

  6. Click Save.

    Manager removes the roles.
